SC-VTAA 2023 Holiday Social
The weather was great, and around 45 area VT alumni enjoyed the meal and program at Landfall Lodge in Frederick Co., Va. on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023! Generous Hokies overflowed the "Hokies for the Hungry"bin! Ben Grove, Associate Director of Strategy and Administration for Virginia Cooperative Extension, gave an informative talk about Virginia Tech and the Cooperative Extension's place there, and in around the state helping citizens in agricultural and other pursuits....

Day of Remembrance Blood Drive
On Friday, April 14, 2023, our chapter with the Red Cross will sponsor a blood drive in memory of those lost on the Virginia Tech campus on April 16, 2007. We also remember our devoted past blood drive chairman, Doug Ewell, who passed away in 2020....
The Big Event-Memorial Garden Cleanup
On April 1, our Shenandoah Chapter - Virginia Tech Alumni Association participated in The Big Event with the Spring cleanup of our Memorial Garden at Sherando Park. The skies were rainy and dark beforehand, but the sun broke through, and the volunteers showed up! Big Event tee shirts were distributed, and we got to work weeding, trimming and (mostly) mulching over four, almost perfect weather, hours....
